QCA Coventry

The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority moved its headquarters from London to Coventry in 2009.


The organisation, which is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the national curriculum as well as college qualifications, implemented the move in order to provide their workforce with an “outstanding working environment”.


C&C Catering Equipment Ltd. were contracted by Morgan Lovell to supply the catering equipment in line with the design & specification from FDS Associates Ltd.


The Kitchen and Servery areas are situated on the 6th floor of the building which challenged C&C Catering Equipment Logistically regarding access and deliveries. 


The programme was very tight and despite there being further problems with access lifts failing during installation, C&C Catering Equipment still achieved the
required handover date by accelerating the programme when it really mattered.


To help achieve the hand over and as part of the accelerated programme C&C Catering Equipment, in conjunction with Morgan Lovell, had part of the servery equipment craned onto the roof of the building whilst the goods lift was out of action.
