Staff dining a success for Dresdner Kleinwort
A 1.1 million staff dining scheme for Dresdner Kleinwort Wassersteins 2,500 staff is proving a great success, for staff and chefs alike.
The new City of London headquarters for the international investment bank, once voted Best Place to Work in the global financial markets, has successfully amalgamated 2,500 staff from three buildings to its Gresham Street site.
A 40 million construction project comprising of a 388,000 sq ft fit out on eight levels has created two dealer floors, an auditorium, staff restaurant, client dining and meeting rooms, two huge data rooms - and a 16m glass bridge spanning the full-height atrium.
Designed by catering consultant HAA Coverpoint, the highly-specified catering scheme includes a sixth floor kitchen servicing a 34-cover fine dining restaurant and 12 private dining rooms. The main kitchen and stylish servery are located on the lower ground floor, along with all ventilation and refrigeration plant. This popular staff restaurant records over 3,000 transactions daily, from breakfast to dinner. Two further coffee shops are located on different floors.
