C&C reaching new heights!
A new £8 million cafe and visitor centre, Hafod Eyri, just below the summit on Snowdon has been opened, with equipment and foodservice counters supplied and installed by C&C.
The extreme conditions and altitude impacted the pace of the build, the materials and even the equipment used. By using tough 304 grade stainless steel, which will cope better with the damp conditions, and hardwearing granite there will now be catering facilities for the 420,000 walkers and train passengers visiting the top station between May and November.
