Leeds Refectory

The University of Leeds has completed a £4.5million refurbishment of its famous Refectory - renowned as a concert venue visited by bands such as The Who - to construct a contemporary and modern 600 seat dining facility.

C&C Catering Equipment Limited worked with the main contractor Wood Mitchell Shopfitting, to create the £500,000 design from catering consultant The Russell Partnership.

This scheme initially included refurbishing and upgrading the existing kitchen to create a central production kitchen for its in-house catering operation. The second phase took place six months later when the L shaped servery was installed with the back-of-house dishwasher system. Now after the installation the restaurant can also be transformed in the evening to offer silver service function dining for 600 people.
